Terms & Conditions – Japanese Tutoring Services

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern all Japanese tutoring services provided by (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking a lesson, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services Provided

We offer Japanese language tutoring in the form of:

  • One-on-one lessons
  • Online lessons (e.g., Zoom, Skype, Google Meet)
  • In-person lessons (if applicable)
  • Lesson packages (if offered)

All lessons are for educational purposes only.

2. Booking and Payment

  • Lessons must be booked through our website, email, or agreed communication method.
  • Payment is due before each lesson, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Pricing is listed on the website or provided upon enquiry.

We reserve the right to update pricing at any time.
Existing bookings will not be affected.

3. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

To respect everyone’s time:

  • Cancellations or rescheduling require at least 24 hours’ notice.
  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur the full lesson fee.
  • No-shows will be charged the full lesson fee.
  • If we cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, the lesson will be rescheduled at no cost.

4. Lateness

If you are late, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time.
If we are late, you will receive the full lesson duration.

5. Lesson Conduct

Students agree to:

  • Participate respectfully and appropriately
  • Ensure a suitable learning environment (quiet, stable internet for online lessons)
  • Not record lessons without permission

We reserve the right to end a lesson early or decline future bookings if behaviour is inappropriate or unsafe.

6. Use of Lesson Materials

Unless stated otherwise:

  • All materials provided during lessons are for personal study only.
  • You may not redistribute, publish, or sell any provided materials without permission.

7. Privacy

We collect personal information such as your name, email, and phone number for the purpose of managing bookings and delivering tutoring services.
Your information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Liability

We take reasonable care in providing tutoring services, but we are not liable for:

  • Technical issues beyond our control (internet outages, platform failures)
  • Consequences of how you use the information learned
  • Any loss, damage, or expenses arising from cancelled or rescheduled lessons

Our maximum liability is limited to the cost of the lesson in question.

9. International Clients

We welcome clients worldwide.
If you reside outside Australia, you are responsible for ensuring compliance with your local laws regarding tutoring services and online transactions.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.
The most recent version will always be available on this website.
